“The stage is a magic circle where only the most real things happen, a neutral territory outside the jurisdiction of Fate where stars may be crossed with impunity. A truer and more real place does not exist in all the universe."

Director’s Note: High School Theatre is the reason I decided to pursue a future in the arts. I tried something new, something completely out of my comfort zone, and it turned out to be exactly what I needed. It’s not easy to get up on stage in front of all your friends and family, but when you muster up the courage, you discover things you never knew about yourself. Theatre has provided me with so many opportunities, and I hope it will do the same for all of you. East Jessamine High School is filled with talented students. It’s time we take advantage of that! Let’s get on stage, build sets, create costumes, and while we’re at it, I think we deserve to have a little fun. Let’s get to work!
